Meet Dominic Field
Dominic is an experienced gambling industry professional of well over a decade across a variety of operational and product roles. He has launched retail sportsbooks and online wagering sites for gaming giants across Africa and Southeast Asia. Much of his content focuses on the North American iGaming scene, specifically the newly licensed Ontarian market, including casino & sportsbook reviews and local gambling laws.
His passion for gambling began at Dundee University, where he founded and chaired a poker society for three years. At nearby Perth, he discovered a love for horse racing, which led to a job as a cashier in a William Hill betting office. He supplemented his income by writing poker strategy articles, betting tips and football match reports for affiliate marketing sites.
His career began in earnest when he moved to London in 2010 to join EDITEC, Africa’s largest retail betting operator. Starting out on the sports betting team, he quickly moved into product development before launching the company’s first online betting sites.
In 2016, he moved to Manila to join the AsianLogic group. Initially working with MegaSportsWorld in the Philippines, he transferred to Nairobi in 2018. There, he would assist with the launch and day-to-day operations of the Dafabet brand in Kenya.
Subsequent operations management roles followed with StarSports, RPM Gaming and LiveScore Group, overseeing the setup and management of sportsbooks and casinos, both retail and online.
From 2021, he writes full-time while travelling the world as a digital nomad. Much of his content focuses on the North American iGaming scene, specifically the newly licensed Ontarian market, including site reviews, the cryptocurrency casino scene and local gambling laws.
