Symbols

The most common symbols found in this Pragmatic Play slot game are brightly coloured gems. While these are the source of your lower-paying wins, you’ll also encounter goblets, rings, sand timers and a gold crown.

Gates of Olympus doesn’t contain a wild symbol due to the All Ways Pay mechanic. But there is a scatter, which features a depiction of Zeus looking menacing over the word “Scatter.” Drop at least four of these onto the reels to trigger the bonus spins round.

Theme, Design, and Soundtrack

Greek mythology is a very common theme in the world of casino games. So it’s fair to say that Pragmatic Play hasn’t exactly reinvented the wheel here. But in all fairness, they’ve done a great job designing a dramatic slot.

The epic soundtrack during the base game feels as though it’s come straight out of a movie. Then, during the bonus round, the music switches to an even more tense score, further ramping up the drama. Bonus Features of Gates of Olympus

Gates of Olympus is a fairly straightforward slot in terms of gameplay. Although you can earn wins by matching groups of symbols, everything is geared up towards a single bonus game, which we’ll discuss shortly. The only other game mechanics of note are the Tumble feature and the Multipliers.

Tumble Feature

Every time you receive a prize by grouping together matching symbols, those winning icons will explode. Then, gaps are left behind, causing the symbols above to fall into these spaces. This can lead to a chain reaction of additional wins as new symbols rain down from above to create more winning clusters.

Multiplier Feature

You’ll undoubtedly notice Zeus floating to the right of the main grid of reels, observing the action. From time to time, he’ll elect to zap one or more of the symbols which appear on the reels. This unleashes a winged orb, inside of which is a multiplier that increases the value of any winning spins.

If you’re lucky enough to be blessed with several multiplier symbols, the values are simply added together. So a 2x and a 10x multiplier on the same spins becomes 12x. These multipliers can be acquired during both the main game and the bonus spins round.

Special Symbols

There is only one special symbol in the Gates of Olympus, which is the scatter. It features a picture of an angry-looking Zeus. If you can find at least four of these, you’ll trigger the bonus game.

It doesn’t matter whether you collect four, five or six scatter symbols; you’ll begin the bonus round with 15 spins. However, you’ll receive a prize of 3x, 5x or 100x your bet, so the more scatters you land, the better!

Bonus Spins

During this special gameplay mode, you’ll collect any multipliers which appear on the reels. The accumulated multiplier values drive up your potential prize from the bonus game.

When playing the bonus game, if you manage to hit three more scatters, your spins will retrigger. You’ll pick up five more spins, and you can retrigger them unlimited times, making for some extremely rewarding payouts.

Bonus Buy and Ante Bet

If you don’t want to wait around trying to collect scatters, you have the option of buying directly into the bonus game. Doing so will cost you 100x your bet, but you’ll immediately start the bonus with 15 spins.

Alternatively, you could opt to use the ante bet instead. This increases your stake by 25%, lifting the maximum bet from C$100 to C$125. However, it doubles the chance of hitting the bonus feature. It’s not guaranteed, like the Bonus Buy option. But it feels like a good deal.
